The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) publishes the ATP Rankings Singles, which lists the top male tennis players in the world. The rankings are based on a player's performance over the past 52 weeks.

Novak Djokovic is the current world number one, and he has held the top spot for a record 387 weeks. Rafael Nadal is a close second, with 223 weeks at world number one. Carlos Alcaraz is the youngest player in the top 10, and he is the first teenager to be ranked in the top 10 since Rafael Nadal in 2005.
The ATP Rankings Singles are used to determine seedings for tournaments and to qualify players for the ATP Finals, which is the season-ending tournament for the top eight players in the world.
